
This annual event is held at the Basque Center located at the south end
of the City of Gooding on the last Saturday in February. It is well
attended so purchase your tickets early. The Basques cook a
wonderful meal and attendees are entertained by local talent. A
balloon auction assures that everyone is a winner and a brisk live auction
is guaranteed fun. This is a not to be missed event!

Gooding County Founders Day is a yearly tradition. It is
celebrated on the first Saturday of May. A Grand Parade down Main
Street kicks off the celebration. The parade starts at 11 am from
the ISDB east parking lot and proceeds down Main Street to the railroad
tracks at the north end of town. County residents and organizations
are invited to participate with floats, wagons, or just walking! Car
shows, craft and baked goods sales and other events are scheduled in the
community.

A
weekend full of old-fashioned, small-town family fun in the Hagerman
Valley every year on Memorial Day Weekend. The Hagerman City Park offers
ongoing musical entertainment and dancing, lots of good food, craft
vendors and games for children. Each year, Friday night features live
entertainment on stage for the whole family. The parade held at 11am on
Saturday is one of the best around.

Dairy Days are celebrated the third weekend in June each year to
acknowledge the dairy industry's contributions to the Magic Valley.
Includes a parade, food booths, arts and crafts, live entertainment, free
ice cream, evening melodrama by the Snake River Community Players.

This annual event takes place at West Park on Idaho Street in Gooding.
Crafters from all over Idaho and other western states show their talent
and offer wonderful deals on their items for sale. The Gooding Fire
Department hosts a barbeque on Saturday offering great food for all!


The
day begins with Mass at 11:00 a.m. A barbeque will follow with lamb chops,
Basque rice, beans, salad and bread being served until 3:00 p.m. Chorizos
are served after 3:00 p.m. There are Basque dancers, games, foot races for
the kids and weight carrying contests for adults. An auction is held, with
lambs, and huge loaves of Basque bread for sale. Fees are $12 for
the barbeque, $6 for kids
